Prop Store is proud to present an exclusive offering of ‘The Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists’ stop motion puppets, props and set pieces from Aardman and Sony Pictures Animation.

Bruno is featured in the opening scene of the film whilst serving as an assistant to the Admiral as he breaks the news of the continuous problem the navy is facing with pirates on the high seas, much to the dismay of Queen Victoria! He is sporting his naval uniform consisting of an elaborate jacket, pinstripe trousers and black shoes. Located on the base of his feet are metal plates to allow for him to be placed securely during filming. His clothes are made from foam latex and his hands from silicone. His head and hair are resin and the skin around his eyes is made from plasticine to allow for maximum expression. He also features a removable mouthpiece made from ‘Rapid Prototyped’ resin featuring the reference ‘Percy 24/05’ which is attached to the jaw using a small magnet. He is built around an intricate internal metal armature in order for puppeteers to adjust his stance. There is very slight cracking around the chest and shoulders of his jacket although he remains overall in fantastic condition. Bruno stands at approximately 28cm (11”) tall.

It's a quest that takes our heroes from the shores of exotic Blood Island to the foggy streets of Victorian London. Along the way they do battle with the pirate-hating Queen Victoria and team up with a young Charles Darwin, but never lose sight of what a pirate loves best: adventure!
