A Pink Child Mask from the 1982 Pink Floyd film The Wall. The film explores the life and mind of the rock star Pink (Bob Geldof) who has steadily lost his mind through the years. Masks of this style can be seen towards the beginning of the film when we see a young Pink at school, humiliated by one of his teachers. During the sequence, the young students becoming part of a faceless, repetitive machine that have been ground down by Fascist teachers. The children wear these masks as they exit the machine.
Made of plastic, the pink mask has mouth and eye holes which have been created by burning the plastic, with the mask later finished in pink paint. A length of elastic is attached to the rear to allow the mask to be worn by the school children in the sequence. This piece features wear due to production use and age, however it remains in overall good used condition.
