An original production drawing of a Court Official, used in the creation of the surreal and iconic animated trial sequence in Alan Parker's Pink Floyd: The Wall (1982). The animated sequences were designed and directed by renowned illustrator and political satirist, Gerald Scarfe.
Scarfe had been working with Pink Floyd since 1974 and was given full creative control over the 11 minutes of animation in the film. His signature visual style became a defining element of the movie's hallucinatory power.
This drawing, with its sharp line work and stylised exaggeration, is a striking example of Scarfe's approach: grotesque, satirical, and unforgettable. Drawn in graphite on 12-field animation paper and bearing the official seal from the film's Original Animation Art programme. Dimensions: 32 cm x 42 x cm (12.5" x 16.5")
