Peter Pan's (Jeremy Sumpter) knife and vine knife sling from P.J. Hogan's Peter Pan. Peter Pan used and carried his dagger, strapped to his person by a sling made of vines, throughout his adventures on Neverland with the Lost Boys and his fairy Tinker Bell (Ludivine Sagnier) where they brought Wendy Darling (Rachel Hurd-Wood) and her brothers to tell them stories.

Originating from the collection of star Jeremy Sumpter, this lot consists of a black foam and brown painted resin knife with the grip textured to resemble wood; and a pile of dark brown and black rubber-wrapped metal vines. This lot exhibits chipped paint on the knife grip and vines and cracked foam on the knife blade. Dimensions: (largest) 30.5 cm x 9.75 cm x 3 cm (12" x 3.75" x 1.25")

Actor-producer Jeremy Sumpter began his film career with a heartwrenching role as the late Bill Paxton's son in Paxton's Frailty, earning a Saturn Award for Best Performance by a Younger Actor in 2003. Later that year, Sumpter burst into the public consciousness as the titular character of P.J. Hogan's Peter Pan. To embody the Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up, the young actor trained extensively in sword-fighting and gymnastics, later performing many of the film's elaborate stunt work himself. Sumpter's performance received extensive praise from critics, earning multiple award nominations, with the film itself heralded among the most sumptuous, elegant, and mature adaptations of the J.M. Barrie classic ever made.

Over more than 30 credits as an actor and producer in the ensuing years - including on such beloved projects as Friday Night Lights, CSI: Miami, and Soul Surfer - Sumpter has cemented his legacy as a star of screens big and small.
