One of Porter’s (Mel Gibson) Costumes from Brian Helgeland’s 1999 action drama, Payback. In the film, Porter plots revenge against his wife and best friend after they shoot him and leave him for dead.
This costume includes two long sleeve button up shirts, pants, jacket, and a belt. Porter is seen wearing his black leather jacket throughout the film and changes shirts multiple times. Porter's iridescent shirt is seen in the opening film as he is shot and betrayed by his wife. His charcoal grey shirt is worn as Porter is hit by a car. The first dress shirt is made from an iridescent black and brown fabric by Mike Rodriguez. The tag listing the size and care has been removed. The second dress shirt is a charcoal grey cotton fabric with white pin striping in vertical stripes going down the shirt. This shirt has had the manufactures and sizing tags removed.
The pants are black with slightly darker black vertical stripes and a slight metallic thread going the length of the leg. These pants have been tailored to fit the actor, and original manufactures tags have been removed. Stitched to the back right pocket is a production tag for the costume item with “Porter” written in the name, and “35” written in the size. The jacket is made from black woven leather, has a removable cotton blend liner, and buttons up the front. Any original manufactures tags that may have been in the jacket have been removed. The inside right panel of the jacket has some red dye residue, presumably from special effects blood. The belt is made from black alligator and grain calfskin. It has been stamped size 36, and has “Stunt” written in black on the inside.
These items feature some wear from production use, including some loose threads and distressing around the cuffs, but remains in overall good condition.
