Pan's Labyrinth

The Faun’s (Doug Jones) Bone Flute Display

Stock #32421

A flute used in the acclaimed Guillermo del Toro fantasy film Pan’s Labyrinth. Set in the aftermath of the Spanish Civil War, the young girl Ofelia (Ivana Baquero) discovers an ancient labyrinth, where she is told that she is believed to be the lost daughter of the king of the underworld.

This flute was carried by the Faun (Doug Jones), who tells Ofelia about her past and gives her a series of challenges to prove herself as the long-lost princess. The flute is carried in the faun’s satchel, never leaving his side. Beautifully made in resin, the flute is intended to resemble a human femur, with elaborately carved swirling patterns running along its length and a series of holes to allow air to pass through. The flute is finished in creams and browns to give the look of old, worn bone.

In an excellent production-used condition, the flute measures 45cm (17.75”) and comes presented in a beautiful bespoke framed display. The display features a laser-cut mount board with the logos from the film, stills from the film’s production and a description of the item, and has an opening front panel to allow direct access to the piece. The display measures 61.5cm x 60cm x 11cm (24.25” x 23.5” x 4.5”).
