A wound appliance with pole worn by a hunter in the action thriller Pandorum. One of the hunters can be seen with this near the end scenes of the movie when Manh (Cung Le) is being closely pursued by an entire pack and to defend himself throws the metal pole into the stomach of an oncoming hunter. The pole itself is made of a light moulded plastic painted with a flaky khaki coloured paint, the appliance is made from foam latex painted to look like infected skin and the wound where the pole and appliance join has been decorated to look bloody and gruesome and is reinforced at the back with a wide plastic panel to keep the pole pointing straight out. Pole measures 65cm ( 25.5") long.
