A Bio-Lab hard drive tower from Christian Alvart’s 2009 sci-fi thriller Pandorum.
Bower (Ben Foster), Nadia (Antje Traue) and Manh (Chung Le) find refuge from the terrifying hunters in the Bio Lab, which Nadia has been using as a base. Nadia places a single hard drive from her bag into the top slot of a hard drive tower such as this, which is also seen in a flashback scene when Nadia recalls her duties when the ship first set out.
The tower is made from wood and has four hard drive docks, the front of which is painted black, each featuring a strip of red and small red and green bulbs originally intended to light up. Each dock houses a plastic hard drive with a handle on the front finished in silver paint. The back of the drive hides wiring and circuit boards connected to interior LED bulbs. These remain untested.
This tower exhibits wear from production use and age, including chips, scuffing, paint wear and storage dust. Otherwise, its remains in an overall fair condition.
