Stacker Pentecost’s (Idris Elba) Tea Ceremony Lot from Guillermo Del Toro’s 2013 mega monster movie Pacific Rim. In the film, a race of monsters known as ‘Kaiju’ terrorizes earth, forcing mankind to build a team of massive robots, called ‘Jaegers,’ to battle the monsters and save the world. These items were made for scenes taking place in Pentecost’s private quarters within the Shatterdome; however, they were ultimately unseen in the final cut of the film.

Included in this lot a large ceramic container, two ceramic bowls, metal bowl, two rough ceramic plates, small plastic tea container, bamboo whisk, ten fude brushes, a wood brush rack, and hanshi calligraphy paper. The fude brushes range in size from large to small; however, a number of the brushes feature bristles that have hardened as the ink was allowed to rest, causing the brushes to stiffen. The lot features minor wear from production use, but remains in overall good condition. Brush track measures 20” x 19 ” x 4” ( 51 cm x 48 cm x 10 cm).
