A Scavenger (Adam Chow) Costume Lot from Guillermo Del Toro’s 2013 mega monster movie Pacific Rim. In the film, a race of monsters known as ‘Kaiju’ terrorizes earth, forcing mankind to build a team of massive robots, called ‘Jaegers,’ to battle the monsters and save the world. Hannibal Chau’s black market scavengers who collect the remains of a dead Kaiju in Hong Kong. This lot includes a rice hat, bandage head wrap, goggles, fabric face mask, overcoat, tank top, a pair of torn slacks, leather belt, work boots, and a woven basket of Kaiju meat.

The scavenger’s button up jacket has a wool exterior with light blue characters painted onto the left breast, and along the back. The jacket has been production distressed with rough edges and small tears, giving the garment the impression of being worn for years. Worn under the jacket is a simple tank top that has been similarly distressed with production tears. Worn around the legs are a pair of blue cotton slacks which have been decorated with numerous patches that have been crudely stitched on. Threaded through this is a leather belt with a metal buckle showing a ship anchor. The scavenger’s shoes are a pair of size 10 leather work boots that were manufactured by Viper. Also worn is a bent rice hat with small blotches of Kaiju blood, a headwrap consisting of numerous ace bandages, and a pair of protective goggles with an adjustable rubber sizing strap. The scavenger carries a long woven basket containing wrapped Kaiju meat that is marked with labels from Hannibal Chau’s operation. The basket features a thick strap, allowing the piece to be worn across the back. This lot has been production distressed to appear tattered from years of wear and is heavily splattered in blue paint to imitate Kaiju blood; however, it remains in good worn condition.
