A Light-Up Jaeger Claw Bolter Turner from Guillermo Del Toro’s 2013 mega monster movie Pacific Rim. In the film, a race of monsters, called ‘Kaiju,’ terrorizes earth, forcing mankind to build a team of massive robots, called ‘Jaegers,’ to battle the monsters and save the world. This tool was made for use by one of the PPDC (Pan Pacific Defense Corps) engineers while working on a large Jaeger. This piece is made of high density cast urethane pieces that have been joined together with metal fixings. A hidden switch under the handle turns on the inner lights. The front screw and one of the claws are also functional and are operated by a button on the back of the handle. The piece is finished in blue green metal with various accents and Chinese characters. Only one of the four claws is currently operational though the piece remains in good condition. This piece measures 32” x 18 ” x 7” ( 81 cm x 46 cm x 18 cm). As this item contains electronic components, every effort has been made to describe them accurately; however no guarantee or warranty is made as to functionality, lifespan or safety of those components. It is entirely incumbent on the new owner to satisfy themselves as to their safe use and maintenance. The piece has been purposefully distressed by production to appear used and worn.
