Dr. Newton Geiszler’s (Charlie Day) Drift Lab Coat Costume from Guillermo Del Toro’s 2013 mega monster movie Pacific Rim. In the film, a race of monsters, called ‘Kaiju,’ terrorizes earth, forcing mankind to build a team of massive robots, called ‘Jaegers,’ to battle the monsters and save the world. Newt is the world’s foremost expert on Kaiju; his fascination leads to an understanding of the monsters’ weakness. This costume is seen when Newt drifts with a Kaiju remnant and pieces of his past are glimpsed. The drift sequences of the film were costumed with only white and grey clothing, as all drift sequences had a monochromatic look.

The costume includes a button down shirt, skinny tie, pants, boots, and lab coat. The shirt is a white, medium slim fit shirt. The grey pants are US size 32 waist. The boots are white leather boots that have been painted matte grey by production to fit with the drift sequence aesthetic. They are labeled inside for Newt. The lab coat completes the ensemble and is off white. All elements of the costume remain in good condition.
