A Cherno Alpha Ground Crew (Andrey Ivchenko) Costume from Guillermo Del Toro’s 2013 mega monster movie Pacific Rim. In the film, a race of monsters, called ‘Kaiju,’ terrorizes earth, forcing mankind to build a team of massive robots, called ‘Jaegers,’ to battle the monsters and save the world. This costume was worn by a member of the Russian Jaeger’s team.

Several of the costume’s components were customized for production. The jacket is a green weather proof material that features the Cherno Alpha logo on the front and back and Russian writing. A PPDC (Pan Pacific Defense Corps) patch is affixed to the right shoulder. A tag inside the jacket labels it for Ivchenko. The grey t-shirt (size large) and green work vest (size extra large) also include tags for the actor. The grey/brown cargo pants(size medium) feature fabric ankle attachments that cause the legs to puff out (see photos). The pants are also labeled for Ivchenko. A pair of size 10 ½ black boots, two belts, and a PPDC ID card complete the costume. The costume also includes a production costume tag. All pieces feature light wear from production but remain in good condition.
