Henry Fonda, Claudia Cardinale, Jason Robards, and Charles Bronson are beautifully depicted in artwork by Frank McCarthy on this window card from director Sergio Leone's iconic spaghetti Western. This particular example is unrestored and features one horizontal fold, along with general wear. There is wear along the upper edge, as well as two vertical creases in the blank theater imprint area.

A mysterious stranger armed with a harmonica teams up with a notorious outlaw to defend a beautiful widow from a ruthless assassin employed by the railroad in "Once Upon a Time in the West," an epic spaghetti Western directed by Sergio Leone, who co-wrote the screenplay with Sergio Donati, based on a story by Dario Argento, Bernardo Bertolucci, and Leone. The film stars Henry Fonda, who plays the villain in a rare departure from his usual roles, with Charles Bronson as his adversary, Jason Robards as a bandit, and Claudia Cardinale as a newly widowed homesteader. The widescreen cinematography was handled by Tonino Delli Colli, and the film's renowned score was composed by Ennio Morricone. The film is the first entry in Leone's "Once Upon a Time" trilogy, followed by "Duck, You Sucker!" and "Once Upon a Time in America." However, the films do not share any characters. Claudia Cardinale's first day of filming involved a nude love scene with Henry Fonda, which also marked the first time Fonda had filmed such a scene, and his wife insisted on being present on set during its filming.
