Jack's (Tom Cruise) screen-matched, light-up, complete technician costume from Joseph Kosinski's Oblivion. Jack, a drone repairman from the human colony Titan who discovered he was a memory wiped clone code-named "Tech 49," wore his signature white uniform throughout the film. The jacket screen-matches to the scene when Jack first visited his secret, secluded cabin, through the distinct markings and intentional distress over the jacket.
Oblivion was Cruise's best North American opening after the Top Gun: Maverick, the Mission: Impossible film series and War of the Worlds. Darren Gilford was nominated for an ADG Excellence in Production Design Award in the Fantasy Feature Film category for his work on the film.
This complete costume features a navy 47 Twins-branded New York Yankees baseball cap (size M); a high-collar, white leather zip-front jacket labeled "49" on the chest with a Bill Hargate Costumes wardrobe tag hand-marked "Hero #4" on the interior; matching pants with a Bill Hargate Costumes tag hand-marked "Low Rise Hero #5"; a custom gray elasticated cotton undershirt with a crewneck collar; a pair of white leather fingerless sap gloves with a hard rubber shell over the knuckles; and a pair of padded white canvas Original S.W.A.T. boots hand-marked "#5" on their interiors. Also included is a resin holster with nylon and elastic straps and a detachable computer pad with a button-operated blue light hand-marked "BB" on the reverse. The costume exhibits intentional distressing to appear aged and well-worn.
