A limited edition fine art photographic contact sheet print of Oasis taken by the photographer Jill Furmanovsky in 1995. These images were captured in Detroit during Oasis' Definitely Maybe Tour and consisted of 143 shows, with several cancelled shows due to illness and disagreements within the band. This lot is part of the Rockarchive Collection.
This colour giclee print is from a limited edition of 30 and shows twelve square images. It is printed on archival 310gsm cotton-based rag paper, hand-numbered "14/30", and signed by Furmanovsky in pencil. Dimensions: 42 cm x 59.5 cm (16.5" x 23.25")
Jill Furmanovsky recalls:
"This is a contact sheet from March 1995. We must have gone for a walk. I didn't know them terribly well at this point. I'd done a couple of shoots with them but when you are on tour that's when you get to know them a little bit better. It's shot on a Hassleblad. Often you don't shoot photojournalist portraits on a Hassleblad, but for some reason I did that day and it produced some really great results".
