An artist's proof fine art photographic print featuring an image of Oasis and the crowd at their historic Knebworth concert, taken by photographer Jill Furmanovsky. On 10 and 11 August 1996, 125,000 people attended each night of the two Oasis concerts at Knebworth House in Hertfordshire, a record-breaking number for an outdoor concert held in the UK at the time. This lot is part of the Rockarchive Collection.

The giclee print is a joiner image that comprises of multiple photographs merged together. It is printed on archival 310gsm cotton-based rag paper, labelled "AP" and is signed by Furmanovsky in pencil. Underneath the image is the handwritten annotation "Oasis, Knebworth, 10th August 1996". Dimensions: 42 cm x 59.5 cm (16.5" x 23.5")

Jill Furmanovsky recalls:

"This is joiner image of Oasis at Knebworth made of images taken on the first night of their legendary gigs. I was trying to find a way to show the sheer scale of it. As the stage was so gigantic, it was actually intimidating for the band as they were really far apart from each other. So I started shooting what I thought would be a good way to combine some of the images. The exposures are different depending on whether it's the stage or the audience. I wanted to capture what the audience looked like, lit with these beautiful lights, with what was happening onstage."
