The original posters for the film were somewhat bland, which was corrected with this clever reissue campaign. The crop-duster sequence is shown on the reissue posters, and Hitchcock, notorious for appearing in all of his films, also appears on this poster twice. He had become as big a star as Grant and appeared alongside the four Presidents on Mount Rushmore. The posters for this reissue are often more desirable and valuable than the originals.

There are three sets of staple marks in the upper and lower image area of the poster, as well as along all three of the horizontal folds. The poster also has some minor crimping within the image, primarily in the lower right by Hitchcock's image.

Innocent ad exec Roger Thornhill (Cary Grant) goes to lunch and enters a nightmare. Mistaken as a government agent, Thornhill becomes the target of a group of foreign spies and is soon the chief suspect in a murder investigation. Alfred Hitchcock creates another memorable classic with this tale of mistaken identity.
