A miniature Blue Alien spaceship used in Robert Collector’s 1987 sci-fi/horror film adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s novel, Nightflyers. This style of ship can be seen throughout the film. The ship is made primarily of fiberglass with blue/grey panel detailing. The model’s hollow inside previously contained mounted production lighting used to project light through several pinholes for a mysterious lighting effect. The two engine sections are covered with mesh backed by red gels to give a glowing thrust effect when lit.
This model has a significant amount of production damage including adhesive stains, scuffs and scratches to paint, and damage to fiberglass shell.
