A "B" camera clapperboard with a call sheet from Martin Scorsese's New York, New York. "B" clapperboards were used for the second camera, capturing B-roll, operating on set.
This lot originates from the collection of first assistant camera Joseph E. Thibo. It contains one wooden board with a black-and-white striped wooden clapper and a hinged center. The film's name, director "Scorsese," cinematographer "Kovacs," and the date "10-28-76" are handwritten in marker pen on tape adhered to the bottom of the clapperboard, while the remnants of a "36" are just legible on the upper black portion of it. This clapperboard is accompanied by a shooting call sheet dated for "Monday, June 14th 1976," a crew screening invitation, a printed 8.25" x 11" (20.5 cm x 28 cm) black-and-white behind-the-scenes photograph, one sheet poster, and six newspaper clippings with two adhered to black paper. This lot shows wear consistent with on-set use, handling, and age. Dimensions: (largest) 13.75" x 15" x 0.5" (35 cm x 38 cm x 1.5 cm)
