A SFX Declaration of Independence from Jon Turtletaub's National Treasure. After Benjamin Gates (Nicolas Cage) stole the Declaration of Independence from the archives lab, Ian Howe (Sean Bean) and his men shot at Ben to take the Declaration for themselves while Ben used the document's bulletproof case as a shield. Although the placement aligns with the film, this version of the Declaration differs slightly from the film's final cut based on the webbing from the bullet holes. The frame also differs from the film's final cut, though the Declaration insert is similar.

A massive success upon release, National Treasure held the No. 1 spot at the box office for three weekends before closing with a worldwide gross of $173 million. In the years since, its central MacGuffin has been immortalized in popular culture for its instantly-identifiable line, "I'm going to steal the Declaration of Independence."

This lot consists of a production-made version of the Declaration of Independence set within a wooden frame with a bullet hole cracked acrylic frame panel labeled "Too Disney St. #2," created as possibly a prototype or SFX test. The bullet holes are numbered "1," "2," and "3" in relation to the order in which they appeared during the scene for continuity as they do not appear within the film.
