Myth: Can a magazine and toaster be used to blow up a room full of flammable gas, as depicted in The Bourne Supremacy? Result: Busted!Reference: In the episode "Blue Ice," (2011, Ep. 176) Adam and Jamie placed magazines of varying thicknesses in toasters inside a built replica of Jason Bourne's apartment with methane gas, testing to see if it would cause a large explosion. Several items were featured in a 10-year touring MythBusters Exhibition that presented gadges, remenants of tests, and blueprints for attendees to see. Inventory Description: This lot consists of one charred and dented toaster. This item sustained damage from an explosion on the show, but remains in good condition.
