Myth: Can a car pole-vault from its drive shaft if it hits a pothole? Result: Busted!

Reference: In the episode "Exploding Port-a-Potty," (2005, Ep. 33) the team tested if a broken driveshaft dragging on the ground can cause a car to pole vault end-over-end if it struck a pothole. They found that a car cannot be made to go end-over-end by striking a pothole with the driveshaft, the back end of the car can be lifted, but the likelihood of an event like this happening is extremely improbable. More likely is that the driveshaft would be forced into the trunk.

Inventory Description: This lot consists of one blueprint signed by Adam Savage and Kari Byron with one MythBusters Team signed poster print. Blueprint exhibits some small rips on the edges, but remains in good condition.

For certain lots in the auction, including this one, a single photo has been used to represent the signed poster in multiple different auction lots that are extremely similar. The poster in this lot is nearly identical to the one pictured, though it may have minor differences in wear to the one photographed. All specific lots are available for in-person viewing at Propstore's offices by appointment.
