Muppet Treasure Island

Shooting Script

Stock #110402

”He died? And this is supposed to be a kids movie.”

A shooting script for Brian Henson’s 1996 family comedy Muppet Treasure Island.

The film is the Muppets’ twist on the classic Robert Louis Stevenson novel about pirates and treasure.

This is a shooting script used on the production of the film. Written by Jerry Juhl, Kirk Thatcher and Jim Hart and ‘very, very loosely based’ on the original novel, it is 100-pages long, including the title page and a page with a note from the writers about a massive computer crash which affected the script. It is printed on white paper and held together with metal fasteners. It is dated ‘April 1, 1995’ and has the original owner’s name handwritten in black pen on the front. It is unannotated and without highlighting.

The script has some wear from production use and age, including some creasing and fold lines where it has been repeatedly opened. Overall it remains in a very good condition.

Materials: Paper, Ferrous Metals.
