A poster used in the period drama television series Mr Selfridge. The series focuses on the real-life story of the flamboyant American Harry Selfridge (Jeremey Piven), the founder of the London department store, Selfridge’s.
This poster and others like it, featured in the first episode of the second season. Set in 1914, Harry and the staff of Selfridge’s celebrate the store’s fifth anniversary, with the posters used to decorate the department store to promote the celebration, most noticeably seen at the entrance of the store in a frame, sitting on a stand with a red bow placed at the top. Made from thick paper, the poster features an oval shaped image of Piven in the role of Harry Selfridge, with the text ‘Selfridge’s, celebrates 5 triumphant years’ printed in maroon at the top and an ornate patterned border.

The poster features minor signs of wear and remains in a very good production-used condition. The item measures 76 cm x 54.5 cm (30” x 21 ½”) unrolled.
