Francis' (Michael Palin) screen-matched cuirass from Terry Jones' Biblical comedy Monty Python's Life of Brian. Kindly Francis asked "Crucifixion?" to those lined up for their punishment, and then pointed them towards where they could collect their crosses. This cuirass matches the one in the scene through several creases, most notably on the right shoulder, and a mark on the chest.

Life of Brian was Monty Python's most significant commercial and critical success, despite being banned in several countries due to accusations of blasphemy.

The leather cuirass comprises two pieces of leather connected by buckled straps at the midriff and shoulders. It has an interior label from Costumi d'Arte Peruzzi and "1605" handwritten on tape. It is adorned with metal and leather detailing. The leather has some wear and additional markings from production use and age.
