Sketch: I've Got Two Legs

Terry Gilliam's costume and exploding stomach from the "I've Got Two Legs" sketch, in which Gilliam descends from the ceiling attached to a harness, singing about his legs, before he is then shot by John Cleese, exploding his stomach and causing his guts to fall out. This lot comprises a long black jacket, a modified white shirt with no sleeves and the front of a cream-coloured waistcoat stitched to it, a large round stomach filled with faux guts and intestines, a spare stomach with no guts, a bowtie (labelled "Michael Palin"), a pair of sock garters, a pair of red socks, and a foam fig leaf.

Inventory: One jacket, one modified shirt and waistcoat, two stomachs, a bowtie, a pair of sock garters, a pair of socks, and a fig leaf.

This lot is from the Monty Python Live (mostly) - One Down Five to Go stage show, which ran at the O2 Arena, London for 10 sold out nights, from July 1st - 5th, and 15th - 20th 2014. It was the legendary comedy troupe's last live performance ever and billed as "The End of Monty Python". The final night was live-streamed on UKTV Gold and to cinemas around the world, then subsequently released on DVD and BluRay. Many of the items in the stage show were created as one-offs, and all lots are guaranteed to have been used during the show.
