Sketch: Sit on My Face

Terry Gilliam, Terry Jones and John Cleese's dressing gowns, a pair of jumpsuits and four pairs of slippers from the live stage show. Michael Palin and Eric Idle appeared in the song "Sit on My Face" wearing jumpsuits, while the Pythons wore dressing gowns while relaxing backstage. The dressing gowns are labelled for Gilliam, Jones and Cleese, while the slippers are labelled for Gilliam, Idle, Palin and Cleese.

Inventory: Three dressing gowns, two jumpsuits, and four pairs of slippers.

This lot is from the Monty Python Live (mostly) - One Down Five to Go stage show, which ran at the O2 Arena, London for 10 sold out nights, from July 1st - 5th, and 15th - 20th 2014. It was the legendary comedy troupe's last live performance ever and billed as "The End of Monty Python". The final night was live-streamed on UKTV Gold and to cinemas around the world, then subsequently released on DVD and BluRay. Many of the items in the stage show were created as one-offs, and all lots are guaranteed to have been used during the show.
