Sketch: Every Sperm is Sacred

The light-up stained glass window from the "Every Sperm is Sacred" sketch, in which is a send-up of Catholic teachings on reproduction. Carol Cleveland appeared at the top of the stage with her head through the window. The back of the window has strapping, allowing Cleveland to wear it easily on her front, and there is a small switch which illuminates the window when it is powered with 12V of electricity. The window is made primarily of plastic and foam.

This lot is from the Monty Python Live (mostly) - One Down Five to Go stage show, which ran at the O2 Arena, London for 10 sold out nights, from July 1st - 5th, and 15th - 20th 2014. It was the legendary comedy troupe's last live performance ever and billed as "The End of Monty Python". The final night was live-streamed on UKTV Gold and to cinemas around the world, then subsequently released on DVD and BluRay. Many of the items in the stage show were created as one-offs, and all lots are guaranteed to have been used during the show.
