Sketch: Crunchy Frog

The hero box of Whizzo Chocolates from the "Crunchy Frog" sketch, in which two police officers (John Cleese and Terry Gilliam) quiz the owner of a chocolate company (Terry Jones) about the strange ingredients in their chocolates. Officer Terry Gilliam ate some of the chocolates, giving him gastrointestinal distress and causing him to vomit in his helmet. The cardboard box reads "Whizzo Quality Assortment" on the lid and has the various chocolate flavours listed on the back, including "Ram's Badder Cup", "Salted Bee" and "Crunchy Frog". The chocolates are made primarily of foam, rubber, and resin. The box and the chocolates inside have some wear from use and age, and one of the chocolates has been "bitten" in half.

This lot is from the Monty Python Live (mostly) - One Down Five to Go stage show, which ran at the O2 Arena, London for 10 sold out nights, from July 1st - 5th, and 15th - 20th 2014. It was the legendary comedy troupe's last live performance ever and billed as "The End of Monty Python". The final night was live-streamed on UKTV Gold and to cinemas around the world, then subsequently released on DVD and BluRay. Many of the items in the stage show were created as one-offs, and all lots are guaranteed to have been used during the show.
