Sketch: Bruces

A full-size cutout Bruce from the "Bruces" sketch, in which the khaki-adorned "ocker" Australians sang "The Bruces' Song". A line of large wooden Bruces were wheeled out onto stage and sang along with moving bottom jaws. This Bruce has been carefully cut from the long line of singing Bruces, although a section of the next Bruce in line still remains attached to the left arm. The back of the Bruce has a kick stand, allowing it to stand upright, and the jaw can still be manually moved up and down.

Inventory: One cutout Bruce.

Dimensions: 9 cm x 130 cm x 226 cm (3.5" x 51.25" x 89") The Terry Gilliam standee, standing approximately 5ft 9in tall, is shown for scale reference purposes only and is not included in the lot.

This lot is from the Monty Python Live (mostly) - One Down Five to Go stage show, which ran at the O2 Arena, London for 10 sold out nights, from July 1st - 5th, and 15th - 20th 2014. It was the legendary comedy troupe's last live performance ever and billed as "The End of Monty Python". The final night was live-streamed on UKTV Gold and to cinemas around the world, then subsequently released on DVD and BluRay. Many of the items in the stage show were created as one-offs, and all lots are guaranteed to have been used during the show.
