Sketch: Penis Song

Eric Idle's costume and Terry Gilliam's wig from the "Penis Song" sketch, in which Idle sings a Noel Coward-style song (but is distinctly not Noel Coward) about how great it is to have a penis. The lot comprises a reddish-pink silk dressing gown, a white shirt, a black pair of trousers with white suspender, a wig on a flock head, and a long cigarette holder.

Inventory: One dressing gown, one shirt, one pair of trousers, one wig and one cigarette holder.

This lot is from the Monty Python Live (mostly) - One Down Five to Go stage show, which ran at the O2 Arena, London for 10 sold out nights, from July 1st - 5th, and 15th - 20th 2014. It was the legendary comedy troupe's last live performance ever and billed as "The End of Monty Python". The final night was live-streamed on UKTV Gold and to cinemas around the world, then subsequently released on DVD and BluRay. Many of the items in the stage show were created as one-offs, and all lots are guaranteed to have been used during the show.
