Ethan Hunt's (Tom Cruise) Train Suit

Stock #102880

”This whole operation was a mole hunt.“

Ethan Hunt’s (Tom Cruise) train suit from Brian De Palma’s 1996 action thriller Mission: Impossible.

When U.S. government operative Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his mentor, Jim Phelps (Jon Voight), go on a covert assignment that takes a disastrous turn: Jim is killed, and Ethan becomes the prime murder suspect. Now a fugitive, Hunt recruits brilliant hacker Luther Stickell (Ving Rhames) and maverick pilot Franz Krieger (Jean Reno) to help him sneak into a heavily guarded CIA building to retrieve a confidential computer file that will prove his innocence.

Ethan Hunt wears this costume in a scene near the end of the film, on a train, where Ethan is wearing a prosthetic mask to disguise himself as Jim Phelps and expose Claire Phelps (Emmanuelle Béart) as a co-conspirator with him. This item consists of three items; a grey pinstripe suit jacket made by Timothy Everest of London, a pair of trousers in the same fabric, made especially for Tom Cruise by Keith Watson, and a white shirt which has a label that says ‘Dometakis’. As it was was specially made for production it has no size labelling and the bottom of the shirt is unhemmed. The shirt has two tags attached to it that say ’43’ ‘Tom Cruise, Mission: Impossible, Train Costume.’ This item is in very good production-used condition.
