James Caan's director's chair and Rob Reiner's director's chairback from Reiner's Misery. In the film, Caan portrayed Paul Sheldon, a novelist held captive after being rescued from a car crash by a fanatical admirer (Kathy Bates).

This lot consists of a collapsible wooden director's chair with a black canvas seat, a matching chairback reading "James Caan" in white cursive lettering, and a matching canvas script bag that fits onto the arm of the chair, as well as a second matching canvas chairback labeled "Rob Reiner" on one side and both "Misery" and "Castle Rock Pictures, Inc." - Reiner's production company named for the town created by Misery writer Stephen King - on the other. The chairbacks exhibit staining and grime from production use, and the chair exhibits nicks throughout. Dimensions: (largest) 22" x 16.5" x 33" (56 cm x 42 cm x 84 cm)
