Part of a creature pod used in horror Mimic 2 (2001). Parts like this can be seen towards the end of the film when the inspection team come across a recently used shell, following the fumigation at the school in which Klaski (Bruno Campos) and Remy’s (Alix Koromzay) managed to escape from. The shell is made out of plastic and has been painted a brown and orange mottled colour with plastic ‘residue’ coating the outside and strands on the inside to appear as though something has hatched. The pod measures 53cm x 30cm x 15cm (21” x 12” x 6”) and is in very good production used condition.
