A large Mighty Joe Young left hand from Ron Underwood's Mighty Joe Young. In the film, a large mountain gorilla is brought to a preserve in Los Angeles by his caretaker and a zoologist in the hopes of keeping him safe, unaware that a poacher from Joe's past plans on another attempt to capture him.
This hand was part of the full-size "Big Joe" created for the film and was designed to attach to the arm of the large puppet. The piece features a black latex skin that is detailed with wrinkling along the palm and fingers. The hand is painted in dark shades of black and brown and also features black fur glued to the back of the hand. A metal hinge is also attached to the base of the hand for fitting to the puppet. The hand exhibits minor wear from storage and age. Dimensions: X x X x X (X cm x X cm x X cm)
