This is the more desirable "Style B" one sheet poster, of which three different versions were produced featuring Mighty Joe Young. In this image, he is depicted holding a dais above his head while the beautiful Terry Moore plays the piano for a surprised audience. This particular poster has been professionally linen-backed and has undergone expert restoration. The restoration includes sporadic touch-ups along the folds and crossfolds, with slightly more attention given to the "G" in "MIGHTY," as well as some light touch-ups in the surrounding white area. Additionally, the borders have received mild touch-ups to address pinholes, a chip in a lower corner, and small tears primarily along the side borders. Overall, the poster displays wonderfully.

After the massive success of "King Kong" (1933), RKO sought to create a follow-up to the film. Unfortunately, the star of the movie, Kong, perished at the end of the film, falling from the top of the Empire State Building. However, this did not deter Kong creators Merian C Cooper and Ernest B. Schoedsack, along with special effects and stop-motion genius Willis O'Brien (assisted by a young Ray Harryhausen, who served as an assistant animator in his first job), model maker Marcel Delgado, and Robert Armstrong from the original film. Together, they collaborated on making this new picture.
