A white fedora that was part of Michael Jackson's personal collection. The fedora became one of Jackson's signature clothing items during his reign as "the King of Pop". The white fedora is best known for being worn by Jackson in the "Smooth Criminal" music video. This particular hat was gifted by Jackson to a charity fundraising event in 1990.

The white woollen custom-made fedora is decorated with a black grosgrain ribbon, and the internal leather sweatband features "Michael Jackson" in gold-coloured text. An additional internal label states the hat is a size "Medium" and is "Made in U.S.A". The letter "M" is handwritten on the internal side of the sweatband. The fedora displays a mark on the top, minor pull and small loose threads on the ribbon, and light wear on the sweatband seam at the back. The lot is accompanied by a provenance-confirming letter from Michael Jackson Productions, signed by administrative assistant Rosemary Chavira and dated 24 August 1990.
