This lot offers two wonderful photographs produced for the first British release of the colossal science fiction epic. Any posters or paper from the first release of this film is very rare, and these are the first British photos we've seen with Studio and title offered in an auction.

The photo with Gustav Frolich has one pinhole in the center of the upper and lower borders. The picture with Brigitte Helm has pinholes in each corner.

The silent science-fiction masterpiece by German Expressionist director Fritz Lang. Ground-breaking and profoundly influential, it depicts a future city where society is divided between the rich and the exploited workers, while its robot version of the heroine Maria (Brigitte Helm) is one of cinema's best-known images.
