A collection of research images and location photographs from the production of Barry Sonnenfeld’s sci-fi comedy sequel Men in Black II.

This collection features two folders, both labelled ‘MIB Alien Concept Research’. One is filled with printed photos of jellyfish and the other has printed photos of coral and other miscellaneous sea creatures. Concept artists would use research photographs like these to inspire their alien designs.

The location photographs are glued into a card folder and feature handwritten annotations beside them. The photos are of Grand Central Station in New York City where, in the film, a race of aliens live in a locker worshipping K (Tommy Lee Jones). The folder is dated ‘3.5.2002’ and signed by C. Raij. Carla Raij was a location manager for the New York second unit.

The images and photographs have some wear from production use and age, but overall remain in excellent condition.
