A gun used in the production of the sci-fi comedy Men In Black. Seeking a new partner to train up, the Men In Black’s Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones) takes a shining to street-smart NYPD cop James Edwards (Will Smith). Becoming Agent J, the pair go out into the city to police the aliens that live among us – including a particularly unpleasant bug (Vincent D’Onofrio) looking to end a decades-long truce and bring about the destruction of Earth.
This gun can be seen in the laboratory as Edwards and K look at the collected scientific marvels that the Men In Black have confiscated over the years, including the little ball of goo that flies through MIB Headquarters, causing all manner of havoc. Made of an array of parts, the main body appears to be made of a set of compressor tubes, with machined metal components assembled around it including custom grips, triggers, an elaborate fluted barrel and an extended butt stock. A clear plastic hemisphere is installed at the “top” of the weapon, which is sat above machine components with exposed bearings. The weapon is supplied with its original machined aluminium base, which can also be seen in the film, with a length of wire running from the leg to the gun to ensure it stays in the right position during filming.

A unique piece from one of science fiction’s modern classics, the weapon features some corrosion to its exposed metal components but remains in an overall good condition, measuring 86cm x 33cm x 53cm (34" x 13" x 21") when displayed.
