An Edgar (Vincent D’Onofrio) stretch rig from Barry Sonnenfeld’s sci-fi comedy Men in Black. This skin was used on Edgar’s body when it is thrown down after the bug takes him over. Later appliances were put on the head, possibly to be used for when the skin is taken out. The mask is made of silicone and features clasps along its bottom edges meant to hook into an effects rig or body. The piece features foam latex appliances attached to the cheeks that were lightly blended into the rest of the mask. The skin is lightly painted and features hand-punched hair on the face and scalp. This mask is offered on its original plaster bust form. Although the piece shows signs of wear due to age, this lot remains in good condition. Dimensions: 18” x 28” x 20” (46 cm x 71 cm x 51 cm)
