An oversized, unfinished casting for a puppet of the Arquillian Prince (Mark Setrakian) inside Gentle Rosenberg (Mike Nussbaum) with five behind-the-scenes photographs from the production of Barry Sonnenfeld's Men in Black. After being attacked by The Bug (Vincent D'Onofrio), the Arquillian Prince inside Rosenberg told Agent Jay (Will Smith) and Laurel (Linda Fiorentino) that the Arquillian Galaxy was in Orion's Belt.
The sequence - a landmark in special effects - was achieved with a combination of life-size models, including one in the shape of Rosenberg's head designed to open and reveal the Prince, and a large, oversized puppet version of the Prince operating the high-tech alien cockpit concealed in the head. This large static foam casting of the Prince was created by Rick Baker's Cinovation Studios, but ultimately unfinished and unseen in the final cut.
It is molded around an internal metal armature and features a removable head. Included are five color-printed photographs from production's creation of the life-size Rosenberg model with the Prince inside dated "4-24-96." The stand-in exhibits scattered grime, exposed metal, and minor tears from production. Dimensions: (largest) 24" x 14" x 18" (61 cm x 35.75 cm x 45.75 cm)
