This lot will be sold on Wednesday 2nd December (day 2 of the auction.) Lots 464-913 will be sold on day 2 (lots 1-463 will be sold on day 1). The auction will begin at 2:00 pm GMT. Agent Smith's (Hugo Weaving) sunglasses from the Wachowskis' sci-fi action film The Matrix. Agent Smith wore his sunglasses throughout the film as he attempted to eliminate Neo (Keanu Reeves) and the human resistance in order to protect the Matrix.

Custom-made for the production, the sunglasses have a thin black metal frame with smoke-tinted rimless lenses and two translucent nose pads. The glasses are presented in a matt-black case which features the handwritten text "Agent Smith. 1a, Use 5+7" on two strips of masking tape. There is some minor wear present on the right arm and the nose pads have yellowed slightly over time. The case exhibits scuffing and the tape has begun to peel away in some places. Dimensions (glasses): 15 cm x 15 cm x 3.5 cm (6" x 6" x 1 1/2"); (case): 7 cm x 15.5 cm x 4 cm (2 3/4" x 6" x 1 1/2")
