An Armored Personnel Unit (APU) VFX reference model miniature from the production of the Wachowskis' sci-fi action sequel The Matrix Revolutions. Hordes of sentinels took heavy fire from APUs when they besieged Zion.

This lot comes from the collection of The Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions production manager L. Dean Jones, Jr. Originally created by the Miniature Unit as an effects reference model for the siege sequence, this ornately detailed miniature was gifted to Jones by supervising art director Hugh Bateup on behalf of the Wachowskis after production. It is constructed primarily from cast resin with metal hinges and grating, all painted chrome-color and black and intentionally distressed by production to appear aged. It comes mounted via rods in the feet to a black wooden base. One of the miniature's hands snapped off following production, and it exhibits exposed resin from age. Dimensions: 19" x 10.5" x 24" (48.25 cm x 26.75 cm x 61 cm)
