The Mask's' (Jim Carrey) distressed SFX alarm clock with a screen-matched clock face from Chuck Russell's The Mask. The Mask, Stanley Ipkiss' alter ego activated by a Nordic Loki Mask, smashed an alarm clock outside Mrs. Peenman's apartment while trying to stay quiet. The clock face screen-matches based on the scuff marking around the "6" on the bottom and by the scuffing near the center.

The Mask was a critical and commercial success and was nominated for the Academy Award® for Best Visual Effects. At the time, it was considered the most profitable movie based on a comic series published by Dark Horse Comics.

This lot originates from Planet Hollywood. It consists of a painted metal Spartus clock with a paper insert face, metal bells, metal spiral ribbons, and a plastic and metal mechanism attached to the paper insert face that created the SFX explosion of the clock. This lot is intentionally distressed by production and exhibits chipped paint on the clock's body. Dimensions: (largest) 13" x 7" x 4.25" (33 cm x 18 cm x 11 cm)
