Uncanny X-Men issue 224 page 15 published by Marvel Comics with a December 1987 cover date titled "The Dark Before the Dawn." The issue was written by Chris Claremont with pencils by Marc Silvestri and inks by Bob Wiacek. It is today regarded as a classic issue, serving as a lead-in to the Fall of the Mutants series.

This six-panel comic art board features Storm with her signature mohawk and Forge's aerie in the Wyoming mountains. It is drawn in ink over graphite on Bristol board, hand-marked "X-Men," "224," "15," and "20" in the top margin, and signed by Silvestri in the bottom margin. The reverse is stamped with a Marvel Comics copyright. The board's top edge and bottom right corner are cut, and it exhibits stains and yellowing from age. Dimensions: 16.5" x 11" (42 cm x 28 cm)
