Mitch Henderson’s (Sean Bean) NASA ID from Ridley Scott’s 2015 adaptation of Andy Weir’s sci-fi novel The Martian.

An astronaut, Mark Watney (Matt Damon), is left stranded on Mars after his team assume he is dead. He must use all of his scientific knowledge and ingenuity to survive until NASA can figure out a way of getting him home.

This ID belongs to Mitch Henderson, director of the Ares III mission that Watney and his colleagues were on. He can be seen wearing the ID around his waist at various points in the film. The ID features a picture of Henderson in glasses next to the NASA logo. It also features his name and other details. The ID is in a plastic cover and attached to a Jet Propulsion Laboratory lanyard. It also features an extendable clip which is how Henderson wore it on his waist.

The piece has some minor wear from production use including scuffs and scratches, but remains in an otherwise excellent condition.
