A Justin McLeod (Mel Gibson) make-up test torso from Mel Gibson’s 1993 drama The Man Without a Face. In the film, young Chuck (Nick Stahl) wants to leave home and join the military, but doesn’t have the grades to do so; that is until he meets former teacher, Justin McLeod. This make-up test torso was made to help visualize Gibson’s transformation to McLeod, who was heavily scarred following a terrible car accident. The bust is made of dense foam and includes foam latex appliances adhered to the right side of the body and face, where McLeod sustained his burns from the crash. This bust shows some wear to the latex appliances, which have hardened and cracked in some areas due to production use and age, however the torso remains in overall fair used condition.
