Mad Max's (Mel Gibson) tunic and Aunty Entity's (Tina Turner) glove from George Miller's Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. Max wore his hand-repaired shirt throughout the film as he traveled to Bartertown, fought in the Thunderdome, and found himself at Planet Erf. After The Master (Angelo Rossitto) was freed, Aunty Entity assembled her army and donned chainmail gloves in addition to her chainmail tunic.

The film had a lasting impact on pop culture, namely by the eponymous Thunderdome, which critics praised for both its originality and as an in-universe reason for staged fights. Roger Ebert of the Chicago Sun-Times claimed that the Thunderdome fight scene was one of the "great creative action scenes" in films.

This lot originates from a crew member on the Australian set. It consists of one hand-sewn leather tunic and one chainmail glove. Production intentionally distressed the shirt to give it an aged and worn appearance befitting a post-apocalyptic setting. The shirt exhibits material stiffness and frayed thread fibers.
